Supporting Africans

For Unity and Development - Supporting Grassroots Africa Support Themselves

The NILE Street Team

What is The NILE Street Team Member?

A friendly, travel-loving, culture-immersing, marketing dynamo who would like to help us achieve our aims and objectives of promoting, supporting and representing the African grassroots developmental sector while gaining some extra skills and friends.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you. A college student or anyone that wants great grass roots marketing experience and the chance to earn some decent reward while still in school, or any other enthusiastic people looking for a new opportunity to support our programs. We want high energy, high enthusiasm, and hard work.

Where does the Street Team go?

All over! We are not limiting your promotional work to your dorm, classroom, campus, office, gym, pub, your city, or even your country, but keep in mind that placing a flyer on the side of a bus in London may not be the best use of your resources. The first rule of marketing is to understand the market.

What will you do?

You will promote The NILE and drive awareness of programs to students, researchers, faculty and staff on your campus, community and work place. You will also support your The NILE Program Coordinator through building projects/program awareness, implementing project plans and driving institutional programs.

What will your objectives be?

  • Be extremely visible on your campus to promote The NILE projects/programs among students, parents, faculty and staff, and institutions.
  • Learn the rules of flyer placement at your institution. (Best flyer placements are in dorms, academic halls, indoor and outdoor bulletin boards, career centres, community centres and offices. Be sure to know the rules of posting before doing so.)
  • Report to The NILE Program Coordinator and relay information about flyer location, program interest, and other progress.
  • Be very familiar with the most current program offerings.
  • Creatively find effective ways to reach out to prospective students/colleagues.

What do I get out of this?

  • A gift for every student or person that enrols in one of our programs/projects and provides your personal program code as a reference.
  • Highly fashionable The NILE African Development Organisation T-shirt
  • Flyers and other marketing materials to distribute as recommended

How do I get started?

We are currently looking for street team candidates from across the globe. Write to nileafrica@africanachievers.com and tell us briefly why you want to become a member of our marketing team. We look forward to hearing from you.
